Registration for the Skiin? with the Galilean camp filled up in less than 24 hours this year, with dozens of children on a waiting list to experience what many call the highlight of their lives.
More than 100 volunteers come out to give foster children what Murray Chanow, president of the Adoption Coalition of Texas, calls simply ?an amazing day.?

The kids spend three hours on the lake wake boarding, skiing and enjoying time on the boats.

?When kids are in the foster care system, they don?t get the same opportunities that every kid out there gets,? Chanow said. ?Some of them don?t get vacations, so this is an opportunity for them to have an experience that they might not usually have.?

In Central Texas there are about 650 children who are ready to be adopted into loving homes. The Adoption Coalition works with families throughout Central Texas to help children find forever homes and advocate for adoption.
